Venison and mushroom with lingonberries. Dried cherries (crazily candied) with some smokiness on the palate. Bright acidity that lingers. Hate it or love it, it’s a pretty crazy Barbera d’Alba.

I’m having a fancy paw-ty with Squishable Shiba! Starts with earth and mushrooms. Then currants, black and red raspberries. Barnyard. Pine needles. More youth on the palate with ripe raspberries and eucalyptus.

Blackberries. Plums. Blueberries. Cassis. Crushed black peppercorns. Black licorice. A little bit of earth. Can feel the alcohol, acid, and tannin individually - not as well integrated.

1999 Billecart Salmon Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart Millesime
Key lime pie. High acid. Not very sparkly as far as champagne goes. Nice but could have hoped for a bit more balance. Happy Valentine’s Day!
